CAM
CAM on filmitud kinost otse kaamerale. Kõige halvema kvaliteediga võimalikest variantidest. Enamasti filmitud käes olevast kaamerast ning pildil võib näha tihti teiste kinokülastajate peasid, liikumisi ja kuulda naeru vms. Tänapäevaks sisuliselt välja surnud formaat. Levis aastatel 1999-2005, hilisemad cam-e kohtub väga harva.
TELESYNC (TS)
Suhteliselt samasuguse väärtuse ja kvaliteediga nagu Cam. Filmitakse siiski statiivilt ja võimalusel ka parema kvaliteediga. Saksa scenel on levinud vahel ka nn. 720p ts-id.
Audio võib pärineda kinos olevast kõrvaklapi pistikust kuid siiski mitte alati. Levinud on pildi ja audio nn. puhastamised erinevate filtrite abil, kuid üldjuhul see kvaliteeti silmaga nähtavalt/kõrvaga kuuldavalt paremaks ei muuda. Viimane tegevus on levinud eelkõige p2p releaside seas. Tihti re-encodakse teiste töid ümbes kui arvatakse end suutvat sellest parem lõpptulemus välja võluda. Formaat ilmselt niipea ei sure kuna alati leidub inimesi kes tahavad filmi näha võimalikult kiiresti ning kvaliteedist lugu ei pea. Siiski on TS-id muutunud vähem levinumaks kui ca 8-10a. tagasi. Scene saitidel on pea alati cam ja ts ripid keelatud. Peamiselt on koondunud tegevus p2p gruppide kätte ja kõige enam TL-i.
TELECINE (TC)
TC on koopia mis tehtud otse kinomasina filmirullilt. TC-ile on iseloomilikud sigari põletuse jäljed pildil. Muutunud tänapäevaks äärmiselt rariteetseks. Ilmselt seetõttu et kinod on läinud üle digitaalsetele formaatidele. Telecine kvaliteeti loetakse siiski kehvaks ja korralikke TC-si on ajaloo vältel tehtud üksikuid. Seda võib põhjendada taolisele tehnikale raskendatud ligipääsuga.
SCREENER (SCR)
Tavaline VHS-ilt pärit filmi koopia. Levinud oli eelkõige aastatel 1999-2002 kui dvd polnud veel niivõrd levinud. Tihti pärines VHS mõnest hotellivõrgust või ka kriitikutele saadetud koopiast. Võis sisaldada watermarke ja piraatlusvastaseid hoiatusi ekraanil. Screener on alati fullscreen (4:3) formaadis.
DVD-SCREENER (DVDscr)
Saadetakse kriitikutele vaatamiseks enne dvd väljalaset. Eriti levinud on dvdscreenerid oscaritele eelneval ajal. Seetõttu on levinud piraatide seas ka ütlus oscarite season, see on siis 3-4 kuud oscarite eelset aega kui dvdscreenereid lekib kõige enam. Kvaliteet on ligilähedane dvd-le, kuid mitte alati. Ekraanil jooksevad piraatlusevastased hoiatused ja pilt võib vahepeal muutuda mustvalgeks. Tihti võivad dvdscreenerid olla kehva kvaliteediga ka seetõttu, et inimene kes selle lekitas on püüdnud seda juba ise eelnevalt ja asjatundmatult rippida. Näiteid viimase väite kohta on ajaloost hulgi.
R5
R5 hakkas levima 2005a. paiku. Pärineb see sisuliselt alati Venemaalt ja väga harvadel kordadel ka Ukrainast. R5 nimi on tuletatud Regioon 5-st. Suuremad filmikompaniid annavad Venemaal oma filme välja varem dvd-le kui mujal maailmas, et võidelda sellega piraatluse vastu. Enamasti on kvaliteet ligilähedane teiste regioonide dvd-dega kui mitte sugugi alati. Suurim erinevus on see et R5 ei sisalda pea mitte kunagi originaal (inglise) audiot, vaid ainult venekeelset dubleeringu audiotracki. R5 ripi puhul võetakse pilt tavaliselt R5 dvd-lt ja audio mõnelt Telesyncilt ja syncitakse kokku. Tihti tähistab seda Line releasenimes. Enimlevinud on R5-d TL-i saidil kus algallikas tiritakse vene torrentsaitidelt,seejärel audio syncitakse ja video läbi erinevate filtrite encodemisel lastakse.
DVDRip
Pärineb tavaliselt R1 või R2 regiooni retail dvd-lt. Tihti releasitakse juba nädalaid enne ametlikku müüki jõudmist. P2P-s on tihti levinud R5-te valesti tagimine DVDRipiks.
VHSRip
Konverteeritud müügiks mõeldud VHS koopialt, enamjaolt on tegu spordivideotega või pornofilmidega.
TVRip
Jaguneb vastavalt algallikale SD, DSR, PDTV või HDTV ripiks. Kvaliteet vastavalt eelnevale nimekirjale sitemast paremaks. HDTV omakorda tavaresoga ja 720p rippideks.
SD algallikaks on analoog ja sisuliselt seda tüüpi rippe enam ei eksisteerigi.
DSR pärineb satelliidilt ja ka need ripid on muutunud suhteliselt rariteetsemaks.
PDTV on suhteliselt levinud ja eelkõige lokaalsete scene-de seas kui ka vähemtähtsamate sarjade cappimiseks (reality show-d jne.) HDTV-s capitakse enamasti kõik tähtsamad sarjad ja üritused tänapäeval.
WORKPRINT (WP)
Workprint tähistab koopiat mis pole lõpuni viimistletud. Näiteks on puudu hulk stseene või dialooge. Lekib neid üldiselt üsna harva kuna nende kättesaamine on äärmiselt raskendatud. Tuntumad lekkimised on vast X-Men Wolverine ja American Pie.
Re-Enc
Re-Encode tähistab millegi konvertimist(encodemist) kui algmaterjali on eelnevalt juba korra encodetud. Scene-l selline tegevus on keelatud, p2p-s tihti paraku levinud. Loetakse seda halvaks ja lamedaks tegevuseks, lisaks vähendab korduv encodemine oluliselt ka filmi/sarja vms. kvaliteeti. Tuntumad näited on vast grupp nimega aXXo ja kõik BRR-ripid mis levivad TL-is.
Watermarks
Watermarks ehk vesimärgid jms. videole lisatud tunnused. Levisid peamiselt 2000-2002 musavideode scenel ja ka TS-ide peal. Stuudiod kasutavad watermarke tihti dvdscreenerite peal selleks, et tuvastada hiljem kust koopia lekkis. Praegusel ajal on levinud vahel ka R5 encodemisel, et teised grupid sama source-i ei kasutaks. Watermarkida saab nii video, audiot kui ka faile ise.
Asian Silvers / PDVD
Need filmid on välja lastud idapoolsete piraatide poolt, kes tavaliselt ostavad selle mõnelt grupilt, et väljastada see, justkui enda oma. Silver-id on väga odavad ja lihtsalt kättesaadavad paljudes riikides, sellest on lihtne oma väljaanne teha. Sõltumata sellest, et samaaegselt on filmist saadaval palju väljaandeid, tulevad need tavaliselt väiksematelt gruppidelt, kes ei lase välja rohkem, kui vaid mõned väljaanded.
PROPER
Kui eelnev väljalase on nuked ja mingi veaga on õigus väljastada korrektne versioon ja tagida see PROPER-iks. NFO-s tuleb alati märkida ära proper reason.
LIMITED
LIMITED tähendab, et filmi näidatakse vaid piiratud hulgas kinodes, tavaliselt vähem, kui 250-s. Tavaliselt ilmuvad väiksemale ringkonnale suunatud filmid (näiteks kunstifilmid) LIMITED staatuses.
INTERNAL
Internaliks tagitakse oma rip sel juhul kui sama asi on eelnevalt juba released või on mingeid vähemtähtsaid puudujääke mille tõttu see võidakse nukeda. MP3 ja MViD scenel tagitakse GRUPP_iNT. Levinud on ka dvdripi internalid. Viimaseid loetakse siiski halvaks tooniks ning suuremal enamusel saitidel pole nad lubatud.
STV
Straight To Video (otse videole). Ei ole kunagi kinos linastunud ning tegemist on odavate ja väikeste eelarvetega tehtud filmidega.
ASPECT RATIO TAGS
Märge kaadrisuhte kohta WS on Widescreen, ehk laiekraan ja FS on Fullscreen, ehk täisekraan.
REPACK
Kui grupp laseb välja vigase ripi, lasevad nad välja REPACK-i, kus on vead parandatud.
Tegu võib olla nii rippimise kui pakkimise veaga. Iseennast ei saa properdada, ainult repackida.
NUKED
Kui release ei vasta reeglitele, nuketakse see ära. Nukemine toimub erinevates nuke võrkudes. Global nuked kehtivad kõigile. Väikeste vähemtähtsamate kanalite/saidi sisesed/p2p pre kanalite nuked ei ole globaalsed.
NUKE REASONS…
Tühistamiste peamistest põhjused, miks film on tühistatud (üldiselt DVDRip-id).
BAD A/R = bad aspect ratio (vale kaadrisuhe). Film kuvatakse kas liiga kitsalt, või liiga laialt.
BAD IVTC = bad inverse telecine. Konverteerimise protsessi teostades oli vale kaadrisagedus.
INTERLACED = liikumine tekitab kaadrisse musti triipe.
DUPE
Pettuse põhjus on üsna lihtne, kui miski juba eksisteerib, ei ole põhjust selle uuesti väljaandmiseks, välja arvatud PROPER põhjusel.
